My dog has solved that one - when I am on the phone during a walk he disappears and puts on the invisibility cloak he always carries with him. Regardless of being called he will stay away for exactly seven minutes. I had to counter by a. GPS tracker.

Well caught.  Even at just past sunrise in the park where we do our 8 km speed walk, a woman passed us, texting, and missing out on nature.  Considering all he issues (such as walking with it in crowds, or even standing near crowds, unaware they are wandering, driving while texting, and so on) in is a most harmful and widespread addiction.

I've actually seen people biking with one hand on the handlebar and texting with the other. It's insane.
