Don't give Leica any ideas.  The M11-D might just have an advance lever that you manually crank to recharge the battery ;)

Like an emergency radio! I don't know if I could crank fast enough to keep the battery in my Sony charged..

Leica is not allowed to use the black dot logo. Leica Microsystems owns that. I specced the black dot for the LHSA Black Paint. Leica used it on the M8.2 and Microsystems made them stop. That’s why you can’t get them from Leica Parts dept.

Leica just used the black dot logo on the Seal camera!

I recently bought 3 pack of 36 Fuji 200 for less than what B&H wants for one roll of Kodak 200!

I use mpex.com as one of my sources.

I feel your pain - Tri-X now costs more that what Fuji Velvia once was!

Film prices are just out of control these days - but so are the prices of everything else.

No pain, I bought Fuji 200 for just over $5 roll/ 36 exp.  Hp5 is $7.50/roll.  My favorite Kentmere 400 is $5/36 exp.

HP5 + seems to be the one to buy - AUD $11 here (single pack) versus AUD $16.60 (price per roll but only when buying a 10-pack)

The only problem is I'm a sucker for the history of Tri-X !

It’s oke and perfectly normal, sometimes we choose the thing that we feel comfortable with, i was just lucky to source the HP5 earlier than the TriX

just like why we choose solid brass winder over that plastic 😂😂😂

Do you mean the ColorPlus 200? I bought three bricks last year for just under €50 each. Worked out at around €4.90 per roll. Now it’s over €70 for a brick a ten. The Fuji equivalent is just under €60. I wonder if there was some mistake in the price you paid for your Fuji200? Good for you if there was :)

No idea, but some friends who work/represent Leica arrived in Wetzlar today... so it seems the rumours are everything said.

Where are you?  In California my local RiteAid has Fuji color film.  And if I am so inclined I just log onto the internet, type, for example, Fuji  200, then click on the ‘shopping’ tab on the browser, and shop away.  I just bought 30 rolls.

I am in UK. I have been checking the photolab I have been using for the last few years and they have been out of stock for nearly 2 years.  I did try your approach and found some fuji 200 at a pharmacy chain (at a fairly steep price). Perhaps the film manufacturers are prioritizing supply for generic shops instead of specialist photo shops.
