I am one of those who brought the TL2 to supplement the SL, Leica M camera for a light weight set up for certain occasions. I avoided TL lenses for the ‘discontinued’ reasons and not to own too many lenses.

What is your most reached out, used, full frame lenses on the TL2, CL? Please include the kind of photography you do.

For me:

1. Leica 24-90 VE on the TL2 at the 42mm wide FOV and longer for landscape. Only Autofocus lens (no examples yet)

2. 7Artisans 35mm f5.6 pancake L mount for daylight street. Manual focus (MF) (lecturer on wheels: Old Delhi Trishaw rider talking, old Delhi elderly smoker)

3. Nikon AF-S 300mm f4 IF-ED (double stacked Nikon-M mount + M to L adaptor) for FOV 450mm tele landscape, occasional birding, nature. MF (Mamot shot, back of camel riders)

4. Canon 50mm f1.4 LTM (M to L adaptor) for FOV 75mm street. For the Japanese pre-asph summilux vintage lenses, Low contrast look. MF (Penang Street sign)

5. 21 lux asph for FOV 35mm for street and Low light, WA capabilities. MF.(Singapore Flyer shot)

I just sold off all my FF cameras so the TL2 is what I will be using for a while!

Just M lenses and a Sigma 18-50/2.8 unless it is considered a TL lens. The Sigma is my only L-mount lens so far but it is an excellent AF lens really. I favour MF lenses though, the smaller ones preferably: CV 15/4.5, 21/3.5, 28/2, 35/2, Leica 50/2, 50/2.8, 90/4, MATE and WATE, Zeiss 35/3.5 mainly. All those lenses shine on the CL and will still do on the next L-mount Leica hopefully. Below Leica MATE, 50/2.8, CV 21/3.5 and adapted Zeiss 35/3.5.

I have a few of the newer Lumix primes for my SL, and I use those on my TL2 as well. They are lightweight and produce nice images. I use the 24f1.8 the most on the TL2, followed by the Lumix 20-60 zoom.

I will probably pick up the Sigma 18-50 to use on the TL2; its constant aperture of f2.8 may make it easier for the camera to autofocus in lower light.

I don’t use any manual focus lenses on the TL2 - that’s what the SL is for.

The Sigma 18-50 f2.8 DC DN is considered a TL lens (apsc)

Thanks.
This post is about poll of users who do not use APSC AF lenses. Either because they own FF camera bodies and want to align lenses or the ‘discontinued’ eventuality of the Leica APSC line.
L mount full frame AF or L mount MF lenses are allowed because of the dual use on FF and APSC with the primary lens alignment focus on FF set up.

The CV line up of WA lenses are small and compact. The Wate will be a good 24mm - 32mm range.
Wow, I see you have the legendary Zeiss 35mm f3.5 Tessar. Very rare and expensive.

Not that much but we don't speak of the same lens perhaps. My copies were a fixed lens on Yashika film P&S in the nineties and have been adapted by MS Optics in Japan. The silver one above has an LTM mount but i own also an M-mount black paint version (below). Great lenses for triplet lovers.

I have the TL elmerit 18mm f2.8 which came with my CL.

I have bought the Sigma 30mm and 56mm apsc lenses. Both good lenses.

I have also bought the sigma 90mm f2.8 which is excellent.

So thats 4 primes.

If I had known about the Leica cancelling aps-c then instead of the 30mm and 56mm I would buy the 24mm f 3.5 and probably the 35mm f2 instead. There is nothing wrong with the sigma 30mm and 56mm, in fact quite the opposite, but the others are full frame so can be used on other L mount cameras should something happen to the CL.

Very happy with all the lenses in terms of quality in fact I love the size and IQ. If I had to have a non leica system I would base it around the sigma lenses and find a body I liked either Fuji, Sony or in L mount sigma or panasonic.

My wide end of the CL are TL lenses, but above 23mm that all changes.

18mm Zeiss Distagon,

35mm Leica Summilux pre asph, Zeiss f2.8 C-Biogon, TTArtisan 35 f1.4 but it can't compete with the other 2

40mm Voigtlander Nokton

55mm f1.4 7 Artisans

65mm Elmar Viso lens adapted

90mm f2.8 Elmarit

135mm Tele-Elmar

200mm f4 Telyt adapted with a TZOON

400mm f5.6 Telyt

I also have some lenses from a Retina Reflex 28mm Curtagon and 50mm f1.9 Schneider Xenotar, this is an excellent lens but they are big and I don'tuse them much.

3 small Leica M lenses, the whole kit fits in a small zippered case.  12504 hood works interchangeably with the older lenses, 39mm filters on the lenses with filter threads.

35 Summilux pre-ASPH early V2, Summarit 2.5

50 Summicron V3

The 35 pre-ASPH Lux pretty much lives on the camera.

M lenses: Elmarit-M 2.8/24mm and Summicron-M 2.0/50mm when travelling light (i.e., M10 stays at home).

L39 lenses: a range of enlarger and macro lenses from Leica and Schneider-Kreuznach for close-up and macro purposes. This is how I use the CL mostly in these days (including scanning of 35mm negatives).

I just sold off all my FF cameras so the TL2 is what I will be using for a while!

I bought the CL body-only after I had sold off my Leica SL and SL series lenses in order to have a TTL body for macro and long-tele use with my existing M-mount and R-mount lenses. I do a wide variety of different kinds of photography.

My most used lens on the CL is a circa ~1972 Summilux 35mm f/1.4 pre-ASPH (M-mount), probably followed most closely by a Macro-Elmarit-R 60mm f/2.8 (R-mount), and after that various other lenses from 10 to 600 mm, depending upon what I'm interested in photographing at any given time.

Here's a link to 274 photographs I've made with the Leica CL, fitted with various lenses, and posted to Flickr.

Wish I’d kept my T4. Best ski camera with possible exception of the Contax T.

One of the lens i love to use with the CL is the 35 Summilux M.

Still compact, with a remarkable IQ. Perfect for portraits.

A other lens with good results is the Elmarit m 28mm last version. Eq. 42mm.

I am a (super) wide lover and since moving over to the CL I now use an APS-C Laowa 9mm T2.9 Zero-D Cine in L-mount.

Choose the Cine variety because it looks cool :)

Next come the Leica 18-56 and a Micro-Nikkor-P 55mm/1:3.5 for macro.

Plus a Leica R 180mm/f4 for the occasional tele shot.

Cheers

The only TL lens I have is the 18mm which came with the camera (TL2).

All my other lenses are FF Sigma DG DN lenses.

45mm f2.8

85mm f1.4

105mm f2.8 Macro

I have a gap between the 18mm TL and 45mm FF lens  I haven’t decided what to fill it with yet 😆 Gotta leave some room for future GAS!

All the Sigmas I have are rendering kings but I haven’t been too impressed with the 24 and 35mm offerings from Sigma with the exception of the f1.2 but that thing is a monster!

I don't use full frame on the CL very much. The Lumix 70-300, Voightlander 15mm, and Sigma 105mm Macro. Picture below is the Voightlander
