Sorry, I don’t post pics, but this video (see from about 5:30) demonstrates my approach, including with a long zoom, which I carry cross body.

It is clear that the stabilization of the SL2-S brings a clear advantage.

Does the sensor of the SL2-S bring an advantage over the SL (601) in combination with R lenses?

No. And it isn't required because the R mount's focal flange distance is relatively long.
