I like that you return to this building in different lighting conditions👌

Thank you for noticing. ;)

This is my favorite building in Los Angeles. I live in downtown very close to it and I have been photographing Disney Concert Hall almost daily for 7 years.  There is something about photographing the same subject over and over, it has taught me a lot.  I appreciate the comment.

I just purchased a CL + 18-56 kit in 9/10 condition for $1950. I spent a few days getting familiar with the camera, and took it to the local coffee shop today. I'm a recently retired biology teacher and semi-professional nature photographer that writes and leads private workshops. I've been looking for a camera to explore other areas of photography as retirement will offer me an opportunity to try new things. Anyway, I'm super excited about my new camera and its simple and intuitive design. Attached are two pictures from the morning... btw, these are way out of my typical genre 😅

These two were taken on the same day from my previous post...  All the pictures were made in the town in which I live. Stillwater is the oldest "city" in Minnesota. It is a bit of a tourist destination and thus has some character to it.

cheers, bruce

I am amazed by the sharpness and contrast that this lens exhibits when shooting flowers in macro photography.

If you want to go true macro then it’s worth getting hold of an Elpro 52 which matches the filter diameter on the 18-56 lens.

Yes, but there are also other close-ups that are just as effective and much less expensive...
When I'm not taking my Sigma 2.8 - 105 DG DN Macro Art, I mount a close-up Raynox 250 (8 diopters) on my 18-56 : https://www.amazon.fr/Raynox-RADCR-0250-DCR-250-Bonnette-macro/dp/B000A1SZ2Y
  or Raynox 150 (4.8 diopters) : https://www.amazon.fr/Raynox-RADCR-0150-DCR-150-Bonnette-macro/dp/B0007KS7D0

or a close-up Canon 250 D (diopters). https://www.canon.fr/pro/infobank/close-up-lenses/

I simply added a thin 43 mm to 52 mm adapter to these close-ups which remains permanently on the lens, except for the Canon close-up which exists directly in 52 mm.

These close-ups are really excellent and without the crazy price of the Elpro 52...

I'm so glad you mentioned this. I have an Elpro 52 that I was going to sell because for me, it's just no fun with my m body. But, I have and use the CL/18-56 and the 23mm. Can't wait to try it out. Thanks for the suggestion.
