Visited Hever Castle, Kent today with the CL and 23mm summicron TL.  Slight fringing at times, tried to correct and ended up cropping instead!

It is also Daffodil week at Hever, so lots of daffs! just a few for you to enjoy.

Good shot!

Don't you think it could be special shoes to walk on ice/snow ? We can see here (near big montains) some shoes with metal chain or grips attached to practice some glacier walk.

Just downloaded Photoshop 2022. One of the new features is "Sky Replacement".  I posted this photograph two weeks ago and the sky was blue. You are now able to choose from a large variety of "sky replacements".  WHAT NEXT !! ??

I'm about to sell my CL system and so I browsed my LR catalogue to look at the happy days I've had with it and found some shots to share as a valedictory!

Are these and your other B&Ws straight out of camera jpgs or the result of LR/PS editing? They have the kind of lovely tonal range I want from a smaller camera than my SL, but I have no interest in spending time on a computer to get them.

Sorry to have to say it but you’ll only ever get the tonality you want, consistently, by doing computer time. You might find an in-camera profile that you like and that suits some subjects but if you have a particular way of ‘seeing’ how you want a real world colour scene to look in B&W (I certainly do) then getting there requires some work in your RAW developer of choice.

These files each have radically different treatments including masks for dodging and burning, removal of distractions with healing and cloning, vignetting, colour channel tweaking… none of this stuff is going to happen SOOC other than with the likelihood of a team of monkeys writing Macbeth!
