Woman feeding swan.  TL23.  The swan was fiercely defensive of her cygnets, often hissing aggressively rather than feeding.  I was fascinated that the woman was mirroring the swan's gestures in order to relate to the swan and settle her down.  You will notice a small bird in the lower right is also mirroring them.

Prairie Drop Seed.

Species:    S. heterolepis
Binomial name
Sporobolus heterolepis
A.Gray
Sporobolus heterolepis, commonly known as prairie dropseed,[1] is a species of prairie grass native to the tallgrass and mixed grass prairies of central North America from Texas to southern Canada.[1][2] It is also found further east, to the Atlantic coast of the United States and Canada, but is much less common beyond the Great Plains and is restricted to specialized habitats. It is found in 27 states and four Canadian provinces.[1]
We created a tall-grass prairie in our backyard.  This is one of approximately 15 different wildflowers and prairie grasses.

When it was wet and drizzly, (most of the time) or just plain pouring it down in Scotland, I found the little 18 TL on the CL tucked nicely inside my waterproofs or a pocket...
