The Mersey Weavers sounds like one of those folk bands that made it to Greenwich Village in the early 60's just before Bob Dylan happened. Beautiful shots of the English countryside always induce a sense of longing for me.

And a couple more, including the konik ponies who roam free and keep the invasive vegetation down.

I'm really enjoying the colour and spirit of this place and so well photographed.  I remember your pictures from the time you used a 'D-Lux' (?).  Any camera in your hands produces wonderful results.

Much appreciated, dear friend. Indeed, I had DLux 3, 4 and 5. I really enjoyed those small  portative  cameras. I just can’t use an iPhone. It doesn’t give the feel of a camera and I miss a pocketable camera.

Stay safe, dear Viskas

I was asked to make a short about the experience of isolating. Away from home and without access to my video kit it was a bit of a challenge but I really enjoyed having a creative purpose to get my teeth into.

Music composed by a good mate of mine using only ringtone & alert samples from video conferencing software.

CL 4k 30p video and jpg burst mode with the 23 and 35 TLs.

A bunch of shots with the terrific R 135 f/2.8 II. A Mandler lens that's very, very affordable and has fantastic draw. With the 2x APO. Better in the lightbox

And, despite the kit's 400mm equivalent, it was too short to capture this blue heron correctly. A significant crop.

I love this - the concept of shorts like this has been rolling around the shadows of my head for a while - I need to get out and try some

How to upload images:

Prepare the image as follows:
1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits
2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended)
3.   Sharpen properly for screen.
4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 1000 kB (2000 kB for sponsoring members).
5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog.
6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and select the image.

It is also possible to embed an image through linking, but the  embedded image must still fall within the forum size rules above. There is also the risk of a broken link when the image is moved or deleted on the other site. Not recommended.

When you find an image on the forum you see a preview. Click on it for good quality. When the plus symbol appears click on it for full size.
