This may be of interest to some.  I came across a Panasonic 24-105 (L mount) listed used, obviously somebody who bought it with their new S1 or S1R was not very impressed.  It was a camera store I have dealt with many times and at the price it was hard to resist.  Just had a short walk with it this afternoon, not quite sure what I think just yet.  To me it handles fine on the CL, on APS-C having 35-155 (approx) is perfect walk around for me and you have the macro option too.  Anyhow, couple of samples.

Nice job Jane. I’m thinking about this panas to CL😀. Do you try 70-300/4 panas?

Thanks Jacek.   I think you mean the 70-200 f/4, not sure they have a 70-300 just yet.  Maybe one to try in the future, good to have more choices open to us.

Hi Jane, this looks wider than 35 EFOV to me.  Is it just my eyesight or did you do something to get a wider perspective?

No Rob, if anything I cropped it a tiny bit, needed to straighten the image slightly.  Just checked, the CL reports exif correctly, and shot at 24mm (obviously 35mm or thereabouts on APS-C).

Hi Vikas,

Thank you.  My first thought when I handled the lens was that it was lighter than I anticipated, on the CL it's ok, not too bulky and I used it yesterday for a couple of hours.  Need to see how it goes over the next few days.  I really like the focal range.  As much as I appreciate the quality of the TL 18-56, it is never enough for me as a walkaround and I always feel the need for something longer with me.  I want to try some lowlight shots and see how much if anything the image stabilisation helps, I do appreciate the constant F4, and having the macro capability.  Thought I'd just include a quick look at it on the CL body, see what you think, also with the 35mmTL and the 55-145 for scale.  Excuse my CL body which is starting to look decidedly used, a sign of how much I use and enjoy it.
