Sorry, but could you kindly educate the rest of us imaging neophytes as to exactly what is "poor" about the face?

I find the image to be both technically sound and aesthetically pleasing.

 . . . and to keep this post "legal" . . .

Her face looks like wood from the over processing. So sorry to criticize the Amazing Louis. 😝🙈

Two pictures from a 15 minute - one camera - one lens competition.

I used CL with Voigtlander 25mm lens though zoom lenses are permitted which makes the task easier but to my mind bypasses the 'one lens' concept.

The subject I picked was Melancoly Walk, Stamford. Reputedly so named from “the fact” that centuries ago gallows existed in a nearby meadow, outside the town walls, and that this was the route that condemned individuals were forced along. In view of this a certain bleakness and black and white images  seemed appropriate.

I find Albert’s comments insulting to both photography and to those two women to be honest. Wonder what would happen if others were to comment on his photos.. I’ll just stop there.  I’ll be crossing all boundaries if i were to do that

This is a place to post photographs, there are options to like, thanks or laugh - if you don't appreciate a post, move on, absolutely no need or excuse for rudeness.  How about some cute lambs, nice that they got their first taste of sunshine this afternoon.  CL Pan 70-300

Such nice photos (as usual), Jayne.

My grandkids have gotten to the stage of sticking their tongues out or making silly faces whenever I raise the camera!

Out in steady rain most of the time and probably the darkest conditions I've ever chased critters in, and the CL still turned in a credible performance . . .

Far from my best shots, posted as a testament to the camera's versatility . . .

Yellow-Vented Bulbul (ISO 8000, cropped at about 50%, and showing the 180mm's Achilles heel:  ninja stars) . . .

Red-Whiskered Bulbul (against backlight at ISO 3200, cropped at about 40%) . . .

Last shot of the day, ISO 12500, uncropped, the point at which the camera's colors look a little odd . . .

CL/180mm APO-Elmarit-R/APO-Extender-R 2X . . .

Well, I have come to the realization that the time has come for me to pre-heat the  oven in preparation of my Crow-Dinner. Apologies all around the table. I’m not experienced enough to have an acceptable option when I seen a wooden face. 😇💁

Well I won’t  crow about it, but you only have to ask my family to know how often I overreact 😄.
