Thank you. Not that easy to hold the 55/135 steady at times.
The car you reference was part of a pretty rambunctious lowrider rally 😄

Hello Thomas, I hope you are enjoying your stay in Paris.

Where is that car in the picture that you are talking about; I can’t find any!

BTW, I am using 55-135 almost every day in street shooting. I got used to the size and weight of this zoom that is really a great one. It is not very fast like 18-56, but so sharp and enjoyable to use.

Best regards,

Louis

Hi Louis,
I very much did enjoy Paris - it's hard not to when you finally get to see old friends again and on top of that have the city mostly to yourself.
Right now I am now back in California, where things have picked up again and certain events have NOT been canceled due to Covid. The Mission district annual lowrider rally was one of those, and I already showed the Sony photographer canvassing the Mission streets in another posting. Here's a couple of car shots - the pictures don't do the cars much justice, some of them (especially the late 50s early 60s Chevy Impalas) were really works of art. Some of the guys and gals that own and maintain them are works of art themselves, too, but that's another story.

Thomas, I thought you were staying longer in Paris. But be still very careful in SF in regard to Covid, although here in Florida it’s even worse! I am hopping that many of the old events would be back soon again. I really don’t find much to shoot anymore!… I know, the open air car exhibitions are not always easy with all the people around, but I think it’s better than all the lights reflections of indoor.

55-135

Serious Ferrari, this, we see them down in Silicon Valley a fair bit, not so much in SF.
Re Covid, I hear you. On the other hand, at the event I attended yesterday, people started to look rather CDC-approved burlesque-utopian, so we may have a new trend on our hands 🙂

Birds in the garden with the Sigma 150-600..

These two shots of the female blackbird were in a very dark corner of the garden but they came out ok..
