Thanks everybody for putting up with my Dylan infatuation. My wife and I were present at Williams Arena, University of Minnesota in 1965 when the curtains opened after intermission an Bob went electric for the first time. He started with:”Something is happening Mr. Jones, but you don’t know what it is”. 💁

I always thought the first time he was electric in public was with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band at Newport with "Maggie's Farm"? having already recorded "Rolling Stone," but I think he opened with "Maggie" which is when Pete Seeger attempted to cut/pull the cord (or whatever: different traditions). So, UM was BEFORE Newport? interesting.

Anyway, must have been incredible to be there!

I'm great Bob Dylon fan; my wife organized in 1992 our weekend travel from Frankfurt to New york as a surprise for my birthday present, see the 30th anniversary at Madison Square Garden. I will never forget my life this amazing, huge, outstanding event. With great thanks to my wife, RIP Ute.

I've seen Dylan maybe 1/2 dozen times. Each time, it's been a different Bob. He's lived so many lives.

Hi Ken, i agree with you a 100%. I have seen and heard him also several times in germany. But anyway "Don't think twice.....!!!" and "The times they are a changing....!!!" (electric gitar!!!)

And for Bob, "It's [definitely] Not Dark Yet" 😀

The 30th at the Garden must have been incredible. So many fantastic performances. I have 2 copies of the video, as my kids didn't realize I have it and bought it for me, too.

When you watched my profile, i downsized all my personal data to the essential level because of  trouble with some strange german LUF-Users. Madison S. Garden was unbelievable und first of all was my last great concert with my wife. 3 days after returning from New York, she got the note to be on cancer. 4 years of fight later she passed away.

I'm so sorry, Fred. What a lovely gesture on your wife's part. As terrible as the outcome, one of your final carefree moments together came from her love and kindness. The concert must have very special meaning.

Best wishes, Ken
