So, I really like the mystery of this and the very deep blacks. But I'm wondering how it would be if you lifted some of the very dark area bottom and left just a little to reveal some of the shapes lurking beneath?

The TL 35 mm is such a versatile lens especially when travelling. A couple from Granada.

With the TL 35mm at f11 - classic reflections.

This is Victoria. We met in Granada over coffee and cake and although she spoke no English and I spoke no Spanish we got on famously. Her parents were very gracious in allowing me to take her photo (more than once) and I was please to be able to email them some lovely expressions of their beautiful daughter,

With the TL 35mm at f1.8

Too much clutter!😞

I did try lifting the shadows but quickly pulled them back to a level I personally much prefer. There is a bit more details showing in the shadows on my screen in Lightroom. I guess the compression has a hand in reducing them.

I appreciate your thoughts.

Lovely.  I would be tempted to try this in portrait mode ... cropped to the right hand side

Nice Vikas, you enjoying your new lenses, I've found myself tempted by the size of the 45 and have one on order too.

Beautiful. I'm starting to really want that lens.

+1

The TL 60 macro is amazing. It competes with the great R macros--the far less expensive outstanding R 60 f/2.8 and the only somewhat less expensive legendary  R100 f/2.8 APO.

Minding the shop, and Percy the whippet again for the day.  CL and 75 CV

Wet Autumn leaves made a nice background on our walk in.  Great thing about whippets (for photography enthusiasts like me) is that when they are still they are very very still, when he's on the move though I'm not sure I have ever had a camera that would keep up with him😀!

PLEASE HELP IF a photo doesn't appear....I downloaded The Catalina upgrade onto my iMAC and It appears to have gummed-up the gears......????

nest 576.16 kB · 2 downloads

😀Yes, Catalina is a disaster. I've spent the past couple of weeks trying to get my computer working the way it used to. Slowly but surely, a lot of software developers are creating patches. Maybe take it to your local Apple store?

EDIT: But as Andy says below, Catalina does work with uploading photos. It may be a program that you are using to process the photos that's being affected.
