Yet another rainy day spent watching the birds through my kitchen window.  Very young Jay, unusual for one of these to hang around long enough to get a shot.  CL with Canon 200m 2.8, can't believe I haven't tried this one before now.

Lovely. Is this with the new Sigma EF-L adaptor?

No, not sure that's going to work from what I've read, be happy if someone tells me different.   Cheap K&F Concept EF to M mount adaptor, then Leica M to L.  All manual focus obviously, and with aperture wide open.  Though if previously mounted on my Sony A7III with metabones or obviously a Canon body you can use a workaround and stop down lens beforehand.

These are great, I've never seen a young jay before and we only occasionally see an adult in the garden. What are you using the Sony for? I have a yen for one but only to be able to mount the CV 10mm for 'hyper-wide' shots. And whilst I'm asking you questions exactly how many lenses do you have? :(

A couple more from last weekend. The Crossrail Terminal at Canary Wharf. Billingsgate is London's wholesale fish market and this must be my 50th attempt to get a shot of it that I like; the other 49 have hit the Trash.

Thanks Dippy.  Haven't had the Sony long, have couple of lenses left from my Canon days and it's nice to have FF with AF and IBIS (much much cheaper option than the SL and 90-280, and it fits my hand).   I am guessing Dippy, you wouldn't be happy without wide angle options, I always feel like something critical is missing if I don't have telephoto options. The A73 covers that for me and also gives me a body for M lenses with the added benefit of IBIS. Number of lenses, not that many 😜, could always find room for another!

Anyhow, one

The first one for me, but also mono potential.

That was exactly my impression. Composition is excellent. The colors are terrific, but the mono does have potential. If you're in PS, maybe play around with levels or go back to Camera Raw and try to move the yellow slider, or something. I think there needs to be a bit more tonal separation, especially with the flowers. In the color version, the flowers really make the photo; in the monochrome they're a bit too muted. I also love the texture of the wall to the right, and that comes out a bit better in the color version.
