Since no one else is posting . . .

CL with 60mm TL . . .

Shot with manual focus at minimum focus distance, cropped at about 40% . . .

Dunno if it's just my copy or Leica's intention, but AF stops at about 3 inches working distance, and the lens must be focused manually to get closer.

Specs give MFD as 16mm (6.3 inches), can you explain a bit more your findings with regard to AF.  Not sure I understand how it's possible to MF at closer.  Really impressed with your results.   I realise we measure from focal plane.

CL with 55-135mm, f/5.6, 1/2000, AF-C, Field . . .

I had read some criticism of the CL's continuous AF, and some fast cars this morning gave me a chance to see for myself.  The vehicle in the photo was doing about 130mph when the shutter was clicked, and I had been tracking it from the green light. In all, critical focus was achieved with ten of ten shots.  With a little bit longer lens, BIF should be no problem . . .

If you happen to be bye again give me a shout.  We can have coffee together.  My office is in Marina Square - probably the only office in the mall.  I never have my camera with me but it would be fun to meet.

My number in a PM to you.

Getting ready for a month long "Single Camera, Single Lens" challenge over at www.cameraderie.org.  Planning on using the CL and Planar 50 f2 lens.  A common subject for me to use to test out gear.

DNG processed in Lightroom "Classic".
