Popular Post tritentrue Posted September 23, 2018 Popular Post Share #2845  Posted September 23, 2018 (edited) Specs give MFD as 16mm (6.3 inches), can you explain a bit more your findings with regard to AF.  Not sure I understand how it's possible to MF at closer.  Really impressed with your results.  Working distance is from the subject to the front of the lens, about 52mm or 2.04 inches in the case of the 60mm TL.  My copy will autofocus to a working distance of about 3 inches and must be manually focused in order to get closer. As I seldom shoot that close due to ultra-thin depth of field, the focus circumstance is mostly a matter of curiosity.   CL with 55-135mm at MFD, cropped at about 50%. Looks like the Elpro will be seeing more use with this lens . . .  Dragonflies always seem to know the right places to perch!  Welcome, dear visitor! vikasmg Posted September 24, 2018 Share #2851  Posted September 24, 2018 CL with 55-135mm, f/5.6, 1/2000, AF-C, Field . . .  I had read some criticism of the CL's continuous AF, and some fast cars this morning gave me a chance to see for myself. The vehicle in the photo was doing about 130mph when the shutter was clicked, and I had been tracking it from the green light. In all, critical focus was achieved with ten of ten shots. With a little bit longer lens, BIF should be no problem . . .  fastcar.jpg  Been visiting the F1 track I see :-)
