Louis,

How did you create that fantastic bokeh?

thanks.

Thank you very much.

Behind the bottles, there was a steamy window ( glass) with a very sunny harbor. Setting the light on the bottles made the light background almost vanishing. :)

Kind regards,

those are terrific shots, though I wonder if the 2nd didn't focus just a bit more on the tree than the birds, though maybe it's just my aging eyes. But great, great shots.

I think those L zooms are amazing. how is it to walk around with one attached to the CL?

The CL is an incredible walk around combo with a big lens. Basically a 1.5x teleconverter and almost weightless.

The biggest drawback - by miles - is that the autofocus is only available via the shutter button. An AF-ON option on another body would vastly improve the ergonomics.

Agreed on the second photo... focus is off.

As to the 90-280... such an amazing lens. Essentially faultless optically, fast, fast AF, flare resistant, good OIS, weather sealing is excellent. Puts every other zoom I have ever used to shame.

Thanks, Alistairm. Brilliantly put: the CL is a 1.5 teleconverter!

I am so impressed by the zooms available for the L. They may be producing the best pictures short of a medium format camera.

Brooks are finally thawing out and snow is all but gone in northern Vermont.  Went for a walk today with the CL, Nokton "Classic" SC 35/f1.4 and, (odd for me), a small tripod.  Processed in LR "Classic" and Tonality.
