Chuckcars Posted September 15, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted September 15, 2007 Tonal values are perfection. The sharp barbed wire makes this photograph. I could look around into this image all day.

andybarton Posted September 16, 2007 Author Share #9  Posted September 16, 2007 Thanks folks.  Here's one taken 6 hours later, from roughly the same spot - especially for Pete...  It was taken on the longer of the two walks referred to in my suggested Lake District treffen, in October.  http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/forum-member-meetings/31024-lake-district-wander-autumn-2007-a.html

elansprint72 Posted September 16, 2007 Share #11 Â Posted September 16, 2007 Thanks for posting that, however....... I think the smooth water makes the first shot, either panchromatic or monochrome; as we used to say. Amazing how the scene in the Lakes can change in six minutes, never mind six hours. carylwithay Posted September 16, 2007 Share #12 Â Posted September 16, 2007 They are both gorgeous. I prefer the black and white because I tend to like contrast. They are framed beautifully. Caryl
stuny Posted September 16, 2007 Share #13 Â Posted September 16, 2007 Andy - Â Wonderful softness of light & color in #1. Wonderful sharp, hardness and contrast to #2. Excellent composition in both.

ddp Posted September 17, 2007 Share #17 Â Posted September 17, 2007 Andy...you continue to make a case for the DMR as being an under appreciated tool in the Leica community. The color shot truly stands out.
