Louis Posted August 1, 2022 Share #1  Posted August 1, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) In case I have missed this topic in a previous discussion! I very rarely use flash, but I have the small SF24D, just in case! It used to work very well on my CL, but after fooling around with the camera settings, now the flash is not firing and I can't find the right setting! If anyone with more experience could help, I would greatly appreciate it. (If I can recall, Japp has worked with both CL and SF 24D?)

wda Posted August 1, 2022 Share #2 Â Posted August 1, 2022 Louis, I rarely use flash, so only a guess. Have you revisited your menu settings and power status? Or possibly re-clean your contact points.

Now, I am trying different settings, but without any success!
Guest Posted August 2, 2022 Share #4  Posted August 2, 2022 (edited) @Louis Are you using the electronic shutter? It won't work with a flash. This was the cause when I experienced such a problem. Also, exposure times faster than 1/250 in manual mode won't synchronize (this is from memory, I don't have the camera in front of me right now).  Edited August 2, 2022 by Studienkamera
lct Posted August 2, 2022 Share #5  Posted August 2, 2022 My experience is limited to the SF26 but i suspect you are in e-shutter mode. I would activate the mechanical shutter and see what happens.
wda Posted August 2, 2022 Share #6 Â Posted August 2, 2022 Another thought. Have you checked whether the flash fires manually, unattached to the camera?
Louis Posted August 2, 2022 Author Share #7 Â Posted August 2, 2022 Advertisement (gone after registration) Guys, thank you very much for your recommendations. I followed all the steps that everyone suggested and also changed the flash and camera batteries; and now, it is working! I am still not sure what exactly was the problem, but as long as it is working now. Â
