Please , this is NOT a complaint or Leica bash.

Long time Leica user , first major drama. Out for an early morning walk  first exciting shot …. Dead , dead as a Do Do .

Tried “everything” still nothing. Took it to Sydney Leica shop , Yes it’s dead (or is that Failed to fire up). Packed up, off for resuscitation or whatever they do to Dead M11’s

Back to the SL2 meantime , thank goodness I didn’t sell it.

Will let you know cause , when I know.

Did it just have a red light?

If so you’ve joined the RLOD club (Red Light if Death).

It’s a known issue with this camera.

If it happens again get a brand new M10R and refund the difference. And go and shoot happily.

No , it's didn't have the "red light of death" , it was simply dead !!

Same with mine last week :(, Happened at the Sydney Opera House on the day I arrived in Australia. I luckily also had my SL2+adaptor for backup.

That's bad, very frustrating. Hope you still can enjoy your visit down under.

I just returned from the the trip, not having my M was frustrating, but trip overall was good. I'm already looking forward to another trip to Australia.

The M11 is off to NJ today for diagnosis/repair.
