This probably it, hence the halation affect, reflecting back off the film plate at the back

apologize, not sure how to explain but ur FLE wont flare on any other occasions

The effect is a characteristic of film, it's nothing to do with that particular lens. You wouldn't get those halos if you shot the same scene with the same lens on a digital camera.
