Thought I use LR Enhance on an image that I took with 75mm crop. To my surprise, the result was less optimal. Checkerboard artifacts in many places. Anybody else seen this?

It certainly does a good job on Fuji files. It has two settings: "Raw Details" and "Super Resolution". Raw Detail is not available for the Q2M (and that setting was first introduced to fix the worms with Fuji files). Super Resolution does a good job on Sony and Fuji file in upsampling. But not on Q2M files, it seems. Thanks for pointing Topaz out. But I didn't want to use the Enhance funtion fo improve sharpness. I wanted more pixels out of the 75mm crop. The face above is a very small crop out of the 28mm image. Below is the full 75mm crop.

Unfortunately, enhancing in LR doesn't work with my Q2M either. Have the same spots with large pixels. And unfortunately, most external denoisers and resizers don't work on the Q2R either ("Unknown file format"). Bad luck. Still, I love my baby.

I assume that only denoisers and resizers that read raw format would have issues. If you pass TIFF files, there should be no problems. All Topaz software accepts TIFF format.

This is correct.
