Happy to say firmware upgrade went smoothly and without a hitch for both the SL2 and all lenses. Man, I really love this camera! Still amazed at the level of customization that can be done to make it operate as you desire!

Kinda of like built-to-order and you get to specify what knobs and buttons do what...

Absolutely.  You shouldn't have to rename a file for it to work.  This is poor testing.  I run an IT department and I'd have to look for a new QA team if they released a bug fix that had a bug in the

I downloaded the SL2  4.1 firmware update from the US Leica site yesterday, didn't change the file name and it worked perfectly, as in no problems at all.
