I've posted the color version as well as black and white.  But it was the colors that drew my attention, even more than how lovely Balke is.  I was on my way to La Maison du Chocolat for a refill when I saw her sitting on a curb with a friend and asked for the photo.  I picked up macarons for them both and gave the sweets to them when I retraced my steps.  She's lovely in Black and white, but her colors!

Color all the way, Stuart. We have many such folk here in the Bay Area, and it just doesn't have the same impact in b/w.

La Maison du Chocolat is only in second position for me behind Patrick Roger. Infortunately for you the only shop he has opened out of Paris is in Moscow. As I assume you  won't try to go there  before some time, the only solution for you to taste his production is to come to Paris.

A great portrait. I like them both but the color version with those lovely tones add more to the picture.

It has been far too long since we've been to Pairs, but on our next visit we'll hunt up Patick Roger.  BTW:   Pierre Marcolini in Belgium is rather good.

Excellent portrait. I'd have to say color for this. The combo of hair, lipstick and even the blue strap hanging from her neck are too much to lose with the b&w version.
