Indeed, that's why this lens doesn't make any sense. You either get top of the line glass or just use a phone. I was hoping in getting better results with this lens

The results that you see from your phone camera are cleverly internally processed jpegs, rather more than is the case with a conventional camera. For most users of smartphones,  the results satisfy. If you prefer the ergonomics of a real camera, then you might have to work a little more to get similar quality jpegs. But there is scope for superior output from camera raw files, with larger pixel sizes.

if you use it with a cl you get more mp than on a sl body and get a smaller package. better iq than cell phone, even if less mp.

When comparing lenses, test with the electronic shutter to eliminate blur caused by shutter shock (I have observed this with CL).
