You want that feature? Buy a Canon. Don't know why this is not common.

Because then you would have threads here complaining about the clunk when the shutter opens at switch on, as there are threads complaining about the M11.
I don't have a problem with dust, nor cleaning it off, so I prefer it as it is.

Because the glass in front of sensor is way stronger than shutter blades. 
That’s why mirrorless cameras left it open. Except Canon RF ones. 
 

Just remember that DSLR have a mirror to protect the shutter mechanism
