I assume that includes images taken with the electronic shutter only.

I agree this would probably be the case if the software could be used on the M11 (I don't have one, but others reported it does not work). However, on the M10 (P) there is no electronic shutter option, so I believe it should represent the actual number of shutter actuations (?) M11 for me Posted January 28, 2022 Share #23 Posted January 28, 2022 To count "electronic shutter" exposures makes little sens. With shutter count we want actually measure the aging of the camera as a shutter failure often means that the camera gets unusuable (repair too expensive). And we all know figures like 150'000 exposures for lower priced cameras or 300'000 in the high priced segment (outside Leica).
Herr Barnack Posted May 28, 2022 Share #24 Posted May 28, 2022 (edited) Quote I know Leica doesn't allow end users to get an actual shutter actuation so there's no way to know... If I may repeat my post from the M9 shutter count thread - Quote I fail to understand why Leica needs to keep shutter count a secret. It seems to me that it would help at trade in time to get a more accurate value of the camera being traded in. An M9 with 9000 clicks would garner a higher trade in valuation than an M9 with 175,000 clicks. The buyer of a used M would also benefit from knowing that information before the transaction. It seems like it would be a win-win. Everyone with any common sense knows that a new in box camera straight from Wetzlar is going to have some clicks on the shutter for function testing. Only a very silly person would complain about that. Also, refer back to @adan's comments in post #5 - he offers a good explanation of the mystery shutter count business.
