Leica M11, 35mm Summilux ASPH FLE mk1 - 1/500th sec, ISO 200, F1.4

One thing I'm beginning to appreciate about the M11 is that you can pretty much shoot at any aperture in any light. As long as you don't go crazy pushing the ISO. I can now shoot my 1.4 lenses wide open all day long. It spoils you. When I switch to a different camera from the M11, I'm noticing shortcomings I wouldn't have previously seen as shortcomings.

Are you referring to the Visoflex 2 which enable you to take pictures at f/1.4?

No, I don't use the Visoflex. I just meant that I now don't need to bother with ND filters on bright days to shoot wide open, the way I do with, for example, my M9M.

The electronic shutter is transformational with fast glass in bright light.

I can imagine a future M, maybe even the M12, having a global shutter, and image stabilisation. That, truly, would be a camera that would completely get out of the photogrpher's way.
