M Street Photographer Posted December 25, 2024 Share #391 Posted December 25, 2024 (edited) Good evening, first of all I wish everyone a merry Christmas. Today I saw the film The Ten Commandments. The film was shot in 1956 using the technicolor. I found this information on the Internet and detailed information about film development on Wikipedia. "Cecil B. DeMille's The Ten Commandments was shot in Technicolor. This color film technique was very popular at the time and helped to highlight the film's impressive visual effects and lavish set design. Here are some interesting details about the film's color scheme: Technicolor: One of the first and most well-known color film techniques, allowing for vivid colors and high image quality." Here is my question: is there a film simulation, a preset or a look for digital cameras that corresponds to Technicolor? Vivid or increased saturation is not enough because, as can be seen, the red and blue tones are particularly emphasized and the overall color impression is very warm. I would be very happy if you had a tip or a hint for me. Ideally, of course, a link would be ideal. Thanks Edited December 25, 2024 by M Street Photographer

If you're not interested in all the other profiles in the package, it's a bit expensive though: https://reallyniceimages.com/products/rni-all-films-5-pro-for-adobe-lightroom.html
M Street Photographer Posted December 25, 2024 Share #393 Posted December 25, 2024 Thank you very much for your answer, but you are right, the whole package would be a bit too expensive for a single style.

They work natively in Lr/ACR: https://reallyniceimages.com/products/rni-all-films-5-pro-for-adobe-lightroom.html Also, the DXO Film plugin for Ps that I used to use back in the days had a technicolor emulation, but I can't immediately find it in their latest version: https://www.dxo.com/dxo-filmpack/
