Advertisement Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Hi shushi, Take a look here best place. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted September 6, 2007 Share #2 Posted September 6, 2007 Daniel - Welcome to the Forum. I don't understand your question (especially, "...with more affinity with this forum?").
jaapv Posted September 6, 2007 Share #3 Posted September 6, 2007 I think you mean the LFI gallery. Welcome.
shushi Posted September 6, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted September 6, 2007 Yes, LFI would be a nice choice. What about LUG? Stuart...sorry for my weak English.
jaapv Posted September 6, 2007 Share #5 Posted September 6, 2007 Lug... well, if you are flame-proof.....
abrewer Posted September 6, 2007 Share #6 Posted September 6, 2007 I have several suggestions for you. The Leica Users Gallery of the LUG is a good choice. I've maintained a gallery there for several years. Bryan does a great job of updating the software periodically, and the 2 GB of space has always been ample for me (and I'm a prodigious photographer!). Allan Brewer Gallery at the LUG Another good spot is the space you can buy with an annual membership on Apple's .Mac service (see my signature line below). The LFI Gallery is a good one but I personally am still wary of their disclaimer regarding copyright. Then there's Flickr, and Smugmug and pBase and a whole host of others. Thanks. frc Posted September 6, 2007 Share #7 Posted September 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I used to upload pictures on the Leica gallery net, can't find it anymore. Anyone got an idea what happened to it. Used to have a look at Nicolas Dauosts latest pics, ( not bad at all ) no trace of the man. Nor the site. shushi Posted September 6, 2007 Author Share #8 Posted September 6, 2007 As a Mac user and .mac subscriber, I think it's a good place for me. Thanks to anyone.
andybarton Posted September 6, 2007 Share #9 Posted September 6, 2007 You can always post them directly here... Alternatively, why not set up your own webspace? It's easy and cheap these days.
earleygallery Posted September 6, 2007 Share #10 Posted September 6, 2007 yes, there are the photo forums here where you can benefit (?!) from feedback from other forum members, or establish your own website. I use clikpic which have templates specifically tailored for photographers - it's convenient and easy to use - I'm in the process of updating my site so I've taken down the link. jmr Posted September 6, 2007 Share #11 Posted September 6, 2007 Daniel, as a Mac user, you might want to take a look at a website creation product called Galerie, as an alternative to iWeb. It's compatible with your .mac iDisk space, it's free, it works well and is used by Mr. Barton and me among others!
stunsworth Posted September 6, 2007 Share #12 Posted September 6, 2007 Lug... well, if you are flame-proof..... Naah, the LUGs reputation as being a bear pit is overstated IMHO. Since I joined ages ago the forum has changed somewhat from being a largely technical/equipment forum to be one with much more posting and discussions of photographs. andybarton Posted September 6, 2007 Share #13 Posted September 6, 2007 Which forum, Steve? This one?
stunsworth Posted September 6, 2007 Share #14 Posted September 6, 2007 Sorry Andy, I wasn't very clear. I was referring to the LUG.
sdai Posted September 7, 2007 Share #15 Posted September 7, 2007 I just did a quick search in acronym finder ... LUG doesn't seem to have any connection to Leica, no reference to photography either.
