chris_tribble Posted January 1, 2024 Share #82 Posted January 1, 2024 A local walk on limestone - the trees are ash (which have suffered terribly from the die-back disease that has hit this species across the UK). M10-R - Summilux 50 m Asph II - two horizontal images stitched in LR Classic. Welcome, dear visitor! nodrog Posted January 14, 2024 Author Share #83 Posted January 14, 2024 The great city of Verona, taken a few years ago from the hill overlooking the city. chris_tribble Posted January 14, 2024 Share #84 Posted January 14, 2024 One of the things that is really interesting is that that the excellent stitching functionality in LR Classic now makes it feasible to consider a 50mm lens as a viable stand-alone lens for landscape work. With the new close focus 50 lux, I can concentrate on detail, "natural" field of view images and (using software) wide or panoramic shots. Evidence below: M10-R + 50mm lux II stitched from two landscape images in LR Classic Desktop. Welcome, dear visitor! nodrog Posted January 20, 2024 Author Share #85 Posted January 20, 2024 This is a simple cropped pano of a two minute exposure in Venice. I wanted to capture the calmness of the water as the day disappeared into dusk. I have decided to reprocess some of my older shots (this is from 2017) to take advantage of improvements in LR. Not sure if there are many improvements, tbh, but it gives me a reason to look back at some old photos. M10 ;+ 50 Summilux ASPH Welcome, dear visitor! nodrog Posted January 20, 2024 Author Share #86 Posted January 20, 2024 (edited) This is a heavily-processed stitch of two photos taken with the M240-P and 35 Summicron IV, which I then put through an HDR program called Aurora. Was pleased with the result, even if it looks a bit OTT on the sky. Welcome, dear visitor! I just took ten quick handheld shots with a couple of seconds between each image. As long as you make sure that all images overlap a bit, it usually works really well. Welcome, dear visitor! chris_tribble Posted August 11, 2024 Share #98 Posted August 11, 2024 (edited) The more I use the panorama feature on LR Classic, the more impressed I am. Being able to make this kind of image without tripod, large levelled tripod head etc extends the potential of the system dramatically. A grand day out at Margate on the English seaside. jaapv Posted August 11, 2024 Share #99 Posted August 11, 2024 Basically this is an adaptation of Photomerge in Photoshop. Works with any camera. One thing: make sure that you use manual exposure, otherwise you may get density variation across your panorama.
