Hi All:

I recently rediscovered this lens while thinking about a trip. After I started using it again, I am finding my way into the wide-wide perspective of the 21mm.  I haven’t been using it for “photography” yet, only for family outings.

Noticing quite a few questions about this lens on the forum, it seems a photo thread would be appropriate.

I’ll start!

I like this lens; the images below are with the earlier LTM version.

This lens is pretty awesome, especially on film. The size is unmatched. The 0.5m close focus is extremely useful (and can be accounted for by approximating the image separation in the rangefinder).

On the M240 I had to create a profile in lightroom to reduce the green/magenta border discolorations, or just convert to B&W. I later picked up an SEM 21 f3.4 and it has no such problems, but it is not much sharper!

Reservations : I do not want to spoil the fun here, but the Skopar can flare (lower left corner). This does should be kept in mind when using it.

It is the price for paying less. I only wanted to show this, so that buyers are not disappointed ... Manually coded as an 2,8/21 #11134 there is no

colour shift with my M9.)

Even closer :

(This series might give an impression of the performance of the Skopar. It is a good, compact lens, I would say ... )
