Compact flash compatibility with Q2

I am looking for a lightweight compact TTL flash for use with my Q2, but am trying to understand which are compatible.  I understand that the SF24D may be one option, but will  the SF20 also work? Does anyone have any experience of either in use? The flash needs to be very compact and will only be for occasional use, primarily for fill-in basis so it needs to be TTL.

I don’t use flash myself but in a separate thread @LeicaGuy mentioned that the SF 26 works with the Q2. As you will see from the manual, it says that the Q2 is compatible with “Leica system flash units”.  Worth asking a Leica store?

It seems that the SF26 is the only small flash that will work properly on a TTL basis with the Q2. So I have just bought one,. And so so far impressed by both its compactness and seeming functionality - although still early days.

I don't use flash much, but it would be nice to have a flash for my Q2 and M10M for specific instances - 1-2 second shutter speeds with rear curtain synced flash.

I keep looking at the Leica SF40, but paying $560 USD for something that was made in China for 1/10th that price just rubs me the wrong way. 🙄

You'll have a hard time finding any flash of any brand or any price that was NOT made in China... As it is it is a well-made and solid product.

Since Leica (and Apple) does trust China's manufacturing, I guess you have a much higher quality standard as well as a secrete better checking method than Leica?

The issue is not quality; the issue is the retail price.

Will the Leica the CF 22 flash work with the D-Lux 7? The CF 22 instructions state: "All flash operating modes are also available when the Leica CF 22 is used with the Leica D-Lux 4."
Several weeks ago I sent my question to Leica New Jersey technical support, but haven't received a response.
I haven't put the CF 22 on my D-Lux 7, not wanting to break the camera in case the flash and camera are incompatible.

Hi, When using the Q2 on manual, as I do, there is the option to set your desired ISO setting.
The factory set range goes 200-400-800-1600 etc. Can this be tweeked to set an ISO that is not in that range, for instance a setting of ISO1000.
      Thanks

I did this pictures with a 3000 ws flash, because I didn't have any other flash. So It was very strong and I had to use a lot of ND Filters. But the way the Bowens renders the light is exceptional. This picture was taken with a canon. The camera that I worked with for over 7 years. Then I bought a Leica SL2s. And this camera is such a joy. I am having every day the nice event of hearing the shutter sound! It's very rewarding. thanxs
