pippy Posted June 11, 2021 Share #23 Posted June 11, 2021 (edited) I was a bit extremely surprised to read this in the FM review; "The focus ring tab runs smoothly and the aperture ring has defined 1/3 stop clicks..." Is that correct? I've never yet come across a Voigtlander lens with 1/3rd stop clicks. Zeiss, yes, but Voigtlander? There is (as we all know) some small-detail crossover between the 'brands' within the Cosina plant but not so much with the lenses themselves. Has Voigtlander adopted the Zeiss aperture scale? Philip. Edited June 11, 2021 by pippy

To add to it, the clicks between apertures are perfect. They're just so smooth with just the right amount of detent. 1

I wouldn't jump into to conclusion too quickly. Many mirrorless lens can do that too with perfect flat focal plane and sharpness all the way out to corners and yet we are spending way more for less on Leica. 🤪

I don't wish to see lens M mount lens manufacturers going to that direction. 🙂

Somehow reminds me 28 2.8 III. Is hood blocking 28mm framelines?

Same reason I sold Leitz 28 2.8 III. Or any other lens which takes significant part of VF.
lct Posted October 11, 2021 Share #34 Posted October 11, 2021 (edited) You're referring to the rectangular LH-12 hood i guess but the round LH-4N below should fit too. It was advertised as such when i ordered the CV 28/2 asph. Doesn't come as a surprise being a 39mm lens. Vignetting could be the price to pay to get such a compact lens though. Not a problem in PP hopefully. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! Yes, vent hood should solve VF blockage. Personally, I like vignetting. The problem is to get one properly exposed with mine M-E 220. It tends to overfix it.
