I didn’t think it was particularly good on the A7rII. I mean, center is fine but the corners are smeared. I ended up getting a Zeiss Loxia 50/2 which I enjoyed a lot more.  There are more Voigtlanders now at 50mm; I might have gotten one of those instead of the Loxia.

I wonder if it's just the 50 Summilux or is this true with other M lenses on the Sony?

Agreed.  My 90s are fine.  Many 50s are fine, but the 50 ASPH Summilux is poor in the corners.  I bet Planar/double Gaussian 50s do better, but I don't have one to test.

My Sony A7rII is great and I'm sure the newer ones are even better.  For me, I prefer native manual focus lenses on it and use my M lenses on M cameras (which I like more than the Sony).

That being said, there are plenty of people who like the 50 ASPH on Sony, shoot it wide open for portraits, and don't care about the corners.
