For anyone that reads this post, especially if they are experiencing a similar issue I ended up sending my camera to YYE for a CLA and he was experiencing the same issue with the test roll of film. On inspection he found the shell had a dent on the back which caused the pressure plate to squeeze into the chassis making no room for the film.

Addressing the dent allowed for everything to work correctly again. The camera is on its way back to Australia and can't wait to take some photos with my newly serviced camera and lens.
