If you are talking new. First of all you have dropped all the Leica lenses 28mm, 24mm and 21mm, I am not knowlegable enough to list them all. On the used market there are:

Canon 28mm f2.8 LTM

Canon 25mm f3.5 LTM

Nikon 25mm f4 LTM

Nikon 28mm f2.8 LTM

I use the Canon 25 regularly and itis a good lens. I have had the Nikon 25, also a good lens.

There is also a series by Avenon, a 21 and 28 I believe, and a couple by Angenieux.

Konica Hexanon Dual 21-35

I'm very curious to try it. It's a super smart FL combination, wow. One can use this lens for travel, shooting at f/3.4 both on 21 and 35 all day and night long and voila. I saw it has focus tab and 21/35 viewfinder 🙂

Love it

They are very hard to come by and have gotten expensive with a price well over $2,000.00

If pressed, the Zeiss 25 although I have no experience with it; I never meshed with 21 and 28 lenses. My preference lies in the 24  and 18 mm.

If the lens perform very well, I think (for two FL) it worth every penny

I always liked the results from the Zeiss ZM 4.5/21mm Biogon in the old (film) days, although I never had one myself. I understand that lens is much less useful for color digital photography. I wish Zeiss would revise it.

It's an excellent lens and it's a true zoom lens so you don't only get 21 and 35 you get every focal length in between with LiveView/EVF.

A minor correction: you can shoot 21 at f/3.4 all day and night long and 35 at f/4 all day and night long.  The depth of field scales for 21 are engraved in orange and for 35 are engraved in green so it's a well thought-out lens.

It is a very well built lens and has a good, sturdy hood.  My 21-35 doesn't go out nearly enough and I must remember to use it more often.

Correct. Enough to shoot at f/4 and f/8 only for both FL 🙂

Yes please, show us some Konica Dual M-Hexanon magic when you have chance, that would be great.

Have a great Saturday Pete

It's one of the main reasons I got an M Monochrom instead of a color one.

- TTArtisan 21/1.5
- Voigtlander VM 21/3.5
- Voigtlander VM 21/4
- 7Artisans 28/1.4

I own those. Of them, the TT would be my choice. It offers speed in a pinch, more quality stopped down, and is very usable overall to me.

The VM 21/4 has color casting issues on the base M10, I simply hate the difficulty using the focus scale on the 21/3.5 (a fine optical instrument), and the 7A is a honker.

The TTArtisan is intriguing, watch this space ...

Is a honker a good or bad lens ? :)
