Goalasso Posted January 31, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 31, 2021 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello! I have been selling all my Nikon SLR gear to purchase something that I can just go and use. For 20 years I have had numerous lenses and cameras and just got tired of lugging it all around. So, after lots of video watching, reading and speaking with friends and comparing brands and models, I visited my “local” Leica shop yesterday.....ordered the Q2! Looking forward to “learning photography” again and slowing down with my shooting. Looking forward to the conversations here. Hope to have the camera, ready to learn, within 2 weeks. Cheers!! Advertisement Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Hi Goalasso, Take a look here Soon to be Q2 owner!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
M11 for me Posted January 31, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 31, 2021 (edited) Well, you might expect congratulations here. But when you sell everything a you want to depend solely on the Q2 then this depends a lot on what you want to do. The Q2 is not the answer to every scenario. Many photographers can not uniquely depend on a Q or Q2. I own a Q2 an M10 but I could not be just with these 2. I need definitely more lenses and functions. That means that I need additional cameras. But I agree that the Q2 is a wonderful and versatile product. That is why I bought it 😀 Edited January 31, 2021 by M10 for me

Steve7 Posted February 1, 2021 Share #4 Posted February 1, 2021 I agree with all that is said so far. I will just add that you are unlikely to be disappointed with the Q2. For me, it delivers is a special combination of the practical and the artistic/emotional, even after using it for a quite some time. I also believe that deciding if the Q2 is the only camera you need/want is a thing that has to be decided though experience; it's hard to analyze one's way to that decision. Enjoy your new camera (and anticipating its arrival)! 1
Herr Barnack Posted February 1, 2021 Share #5 Posted February 1, 2021 The Q2 is an outstanding all around daily carry/daily use camera. True, the 28mm focal length can't do it all, but it can do a lot. Especially when the shooter learns to require himself/herself to get closer to their subject and fill the frame with the subject.
jwr50 Posted February 1, 2021 Share #6 Posted February 1, 2021 I am a long-time Leica M user, but the Q2 has become my "go to" camera. Congratulations on the purchase of your Q2. I predict you'll be very pleased with it.
