The new SL2-S Reporter’s Press Release & PR material (the simultaneous release was completely overshadowed by the M6 revamp) has NO KEVLAR WORDING whatsoever, it’s all Aramid.

Here is “The very last Kevlar™ named M10-P Reporter built (so far) 😄”.
Not bulletproof. Not tougher. Not sturdier. Just a pretty work tool.

Lens: Old Delft Minor 35mm/3.5 LTM, strap: Hyperion Hand Made Camera Straps (Greece), strap protectors: Deadcameras (Portugal).

Love this thread.

There is a fellow Leica Shooter named Danny Bligh with a crazy reporter with lots of brassing. According to him if I understood it correctly it is fully natural brassing. His reddit: downtowninjury and IG: Dannybligh (photos is his and not mine.)

She is a beauty, no doubt. If you have problems charging the battery, try another power cable. But first give it some time. The cable I got with my M10 was defective. Good luck!

ok so i was impatient and went home during lunch time, with my M10M battery, which is 100% the reporter boots up, thats the good news.

so i suspect its the new battery or the charger, i guess its the charger, as it doesnt recognize my old battey at 80%, though its 100%. just keeps flashing green

gonna check with leica about the battery and charger

the dealer i got it from said its the battery and it needs to be charges 72h because it hasnt been charged for a while, ok the camera is 2 years old, it was an unopened box, but still doesnt feel right

Obscene, but then no surprise. These were meant to be fetish objects from the get go.

Get the same form and functionality for less than half the price or pay a lot for green paint and a less durable grip - but scarcity!

Great to see that M10-P Reporter DIGITAL special edition (along with M10-R BP) is now worth more used than it was brand new - and not from just one dealer, but trending mostly everywhere where available (mentioned in post #284 and easily checked by searching the web). Not a common characteristic of digital special editions.
Here is a screenshot from Leica Milano store. So thrilled to own both of these modern classics.

Perhaps in dealers and some auction sites that is the case, but at US$13,000, this is $5800 more expensive than one available for private sale at the moment (FM, listed at $7200), and twice the average list-price of the 3 most recent sales of the same camera ($6600)

Is it possible this one comes with a safari-green 28:2 that we can't see ? 😉😁

as my father always says, you can ask for any price, the questions is if you will get it

pretty much the reason why i still got mine, as well why i will get another BP, its an insane world, why shouldnt we profit from it

I'm not sure.

I thought these were cameras.

If you want to invest there are surely better ways to do so. To each their own but this is the part of Leica that I find nauseating, but I guess it helps keep them afloat making normal bodies for people who want to make pictures instead of buy mantle pieces. Then again, it being an insane world is no justification for playing along IMO - that's a pretty slippery path.

This rugged, conflict color themed camera body - I'd be curious to see if there's one in the hands of one serious working, honest to goodness conflict photographer out there. None of the ones I know or have known would pay anything extra for the aesthetic differences.
