Dear all, anyone knows if I can ask the service history (works performed) at Leica based on my serial number? I got a second hand M9 (with P upgrade done a couple of years ago and sensor replacement August 2020). I have the some small service flyers but no detail on the work performed.

i would like to know for example, if the glass was replaced during P upgrade. Also, seller says sensor replaced in August, but afaik Leica did not perform this anymore, so strange. Maybe August was the last moth?

In any case, service history is always nice to know. :)

if the purpose is to check the sensor type then there is a way to access the debug / service menus. I do not recall how to do this but look in the forum. One of the thing you will get is a set of serials and based on that I believe you can establish the type of sensor glass

Good luck!

Dear all, this is great, I got an answer from Leica in juts about 5 days:

I think that's fantastic service of Leica to give this kind of personal feedback on your camera. Impressed.
