Coz I tried putting on the stock round pinch front lens cap that comes with the 28mm Summicron ver1 but seems too big to fit. So I was wondering what are the current owners of the 12466 lens hood uses as the front lens cap...

I put the 12466 hood back in the box a long time ago and use a generic 46mm thread vented hood instead.  The 12466 is too bulky and another fine example of Leica's lens hood  design department being manned by CAD operators instead of photographers.

If I had to use it, I wouldn't bother with the lens cap, a UV filter will suffice.

Either hood or lens cap here, never tried both. I mean with the 12466 hood since other Leica hoods (12588, 12589) have a hood cap already. Now hood caps are so easy to lose that i keep them in the box or the bag generally. YMMV.

The usual cap for the 28mm Summicron fits as it is supposed to do - the 12466 hood is clamped on the lenses outside, so it doesn't obstruct the cap to be fixed in front:

It is a little bit clumsy to release the cap, since the space between the cap's clamps and the hood's rim is rather narrow, though it works if your fingers aren't too large.

Better for your fingers is a "Snap-on Front Lens Cap Hood Cover":
