Popular Post Robert Blanko Posted January 5, 2021 Popular Post Share #1 Posted January 5, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear Leica Friends, As I could not find a photo thread for the Leica 135 APO Telyt, I thought I could create one... I bought my 135 APO primarily for landscape photography and I desparately hope that travelling will be possible (without COVID risk) soon like in the good old days! Let's start with a photo taken in the Karwendel mountains, late afternoon, thus the valley was already in the shadow of the mountains. Welcome, dear visitor! Robert Blanko Posted January 5, 2021 Author Share #2 Posted January 5, 2021 Same location. Focused with the rangefinder - not perfect but not too bad, taking into account the shallow DOF and the absence of a tripod. Worked better than I thought, based on what I read on the Internet. Another shot earlier from that walk is a further example of what I call 'long-lens landscapes' which the 135mm APO excels at. (M10M). Welcome, dear visitor! rsolomon Posted January 8, 2021 Share #11 Posted January 8, 2021 How’s the all day walk and carry factor of this lens?
adan Posted January 8, 2021 Share #12 Posted January 8, 2021 Lightest of all recent M 135s, at about 454 grams. Predecessor 135 Tele-Elmar is 500g (older versions) or 550g (last version with built-in hood). Slightly heavier than a 75 APO-Summicron (430g), and lighter than a 90 Apo-Summicron (500g). 2

That’s pretty good, considering all, I have the 75 cron, the main driver over the 90 cron was weight/size. I’m going to rent one and check it out for my style. I tend to go out for the day with a 2 lens kit.... walk the streets, grab lunch, maybe stop and read, chat with folks and just casually have fun shooting photos. Bottom line is im not hiking or lugging it for hours on end.

I'm ancient and decrepit but managed a two hour amble over the Marlborough Downs last month armed with M10M, 21mm SEM, Visoflex and 135mm APO Telyt-M. Outbound with SEM fitted, then swapped to the 135 for the return leg. Basically, if I can anyone can (and for longer periods!). Click the image for higher definition. PS - that track in the 17th & 18th Centuries was the main London to Bristol coach route! Welcome, dear visitor!
