What a lovely photo, sharp enough in the center yet that painterly out of focus rendering.

gtownby Posted January 31, 2021 Author Share #42  Posted January 31, 2021 (edited) Well, the Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 M is now sitting on a new SL2 and OMG has it found a new home! Visualization and focusing through the actual lens is a revelation. Also, the SL2's super-fast electronic shutter means I can shoot wide open in pure daylight without an ND filter. (The large lens also balances very well on the SL2.) Here are some demo shots. All are shot at f/0.95. This photo of my wife was taken about an hour after unboxing the SL2 (and required a LOT of WB adjustments in LR). The second flower photo is substantially cropped. I now appreciate the term "artistically sharp." Welcome, dear visitor!
