Advertisement Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Hi Chaemono, Take a look here Leica SL2-S Reviews. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
scott kirkpatrick Posted December 21, 2020 Share #2  Posted December 21, 2020 (edited) Hey,, he shows Capture 1 tethered to an SL2-S with the live view working! (It doesn't work yet on the SL2 or S3). Also, he notes that you can run L-Log with the LUT that comes in firmware, and apparently used Leica's classic LUT in rendering some of the footage (shot in the parking garage), but says there is no support in Atomos for external recording in L-Log. I would have thought that a LUT in .cube format which works in the editing software would also be uploadable to an external recorder/monitor like Atomos. Does anyone know if there is a problem? simon_hsn Posted December 21, 2020 Share #3  Posted December 21, 2020 No problem to use the official Leica LUTs (Neutral, Classic) with an Atomos Ninja V.  As expected, one would need to load the LUT cube files into recorder. I use it with a SL1 and I am super happy with the results so far.

This was surprising, because he really loved the original SL, but he said that the cost of the lenses was just getting insane. He does still have a pretty good inventory of CV glass. With that said, I really do believe that the SL2-S does check many of the boxes for him, and like many of us, after you sell your Leica, you get 'seller's remorse'Â and you invariably end up with Leica again and again. Can't fault him for that (;-)
