It certainly is but if you go make sure you have weapons-grade insecticide with you.  The sandflies will eat you alive at any time of the day and their quite partial to some of the commercial brands of insecticide.

You must be much older than you looked when we all had that wonderful breakfast in New York - you didn't look anywhere remotely near 100! ^_^

If there's a breeze then the sandflies often stay home.  There's a museum dedicated to the little darlings on the West Coast.
