fm13 Posted November 30, 2020 Share #1 Posted November 30, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I searched the forums first, I promise 😅 but I can't find any long strap recommendations. I'm a tall guy and like to wear my Q over the shoulder/across the chest down by the hip (if that makes sense). What I'm looking for is anything that's longer than 130cm or 53" so that I can even have the camera like that when wearing a thick jacket. The only ones I can find are the PD leash and Slide Lite - are there any others that you can recommend? Appreciate it! Advertisement Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Hi fm13, Take a look here Long strap recommendation? (>135cm/53"). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ianforber Posted November 30, 2020 Share #2 Posted November 30, 2020 Etsy has several artisans who will make a leather one to your desired length. I have a (stock length) one from 1901fotografi that I use on one of my other cameras. For my Q2 I use the Peak Design Leash as it allows easy on the fly adjustment

Also gives me easy length for wearing bandolier style. The solution? Make your own. In my case out of leather that doesn't get too bulky in camera bags etc. I used kangaroo leather strips 1.1cm x 1.0 mm x 150-170 cm in various colours for many cameras. It's very strong leather, and easy to bundle out of the way. I'm sure you'll be able to find some suitable leather too. ...
sfphoto Posted December 1, 2020 Share #4 Posted December 1, 2020 I would start with a nice, adjustable one. Once you have figured out what length you need, you can order a custom leather one. I like the ARTISAN & ARTIST* ACAM-100A because it is slim, very soft and has small metal rings for attachment. Popflash has some on sale right now. I do not like the Peak Design ones with the metal parts, which will scratch your camera when you stuff it into a bag.
Trankster Posted December 1, 2020 Share #5 Posted December 1, 2020 I liked the PD leash for the Q2, but switched to the rope style at 135cm. Check out https://www.afshoot.com/shop/product/muflon-strap-yellowstone/
Herr Barnack Posted December 1, 2020 Share #6 Posted December 1, 2020 I have both the Artisan & Artist Easy Slider Camera Strap and the B strap made by Harry Benz, with another B strap order pending. Both are great in their own way, but my long term plan is to have Harry's straps on my M and Q cameras. The Rock n' Roll straps are interesting too, and can be ordered in 130+ cm. lengths. Even though they look narrow they are comfortable to use all day. I’ve walked all day with the SL and the 24-90 VE cross body with his Brogue SL 135cm. He makes them longer too. Check out the Brogue SL/SL2 Long.
RoySmith Posted December 1, 2020 Share #8 Posted December 1, 2020 For the Q/Q2 the Brogue Wingtips Long would attach properly .
ajmarton1 Posted December 1, 2020 Share #9 Posted December 1, 2020 (edited) Try Rock & Roll straps. They have long straps and can make what you want if needed. I love their Napa line. https://rocknrollstraps.com/?mc_cid=be4891c740&mc_eid=7c73e8e8d1 Edited December 1, 2020 by ajmarton1
T25UFO Posted December 1, 2020 Share #10 Posted December 1, 2020 Another vote for Harry Benz. Only downside is the lead time - my strap took just over 3 months to come from Canada to the UK, but absolutely worth the wait. The La Cravate Pinstripe is a good alternative option for the Q2 and works well if using a Thumbs Up. https://www.harrybenz.com/shop/la-cravate-pinstripe I have a couple of Rock & Roll straps as well. They are very good, particularly for heavier cameras like the SL, but the quality of Harry Benz is on another level.
Pixeleater Posted December 1, 2020 Share #11 Posted December 1, 2020 I bought mine from Thorsten Overgaard. It’s 145cm (58”). https://www.overgaard.dk/Thorsten-von-Overgaard-Gallery-Store-Camera-Strap-Calfskin-Leather-Orange-Edging-Always-Wear-a-Camera-for-LeicaQ2-LeicaM-Fujifilm.html
prk60091 Posted December 1, 2020 Share #12 Posted December 1, 2020 check out the COOPH Leica ones- in variety of lengths/colors/pricing . I am a fan of the rope style strap, keeping it at my hip length is optimum for my comfort and shooting. YMMV
ricox Posted December 1, 2020 Share #13 Posted December 1, 2020 Try Dead Cameras: https://deadcameras.com. High quality and great value. And they offer a 135cm length.

His straps are definitely worth waiting for.
