DAYLIGHT DARKNESS - We experienced an Annular Eclipse last Saturday in the western states of the US. I traveled to Albuquerque to be near the center-line and to ensure I experienced the full annularity. The extra fun challenge was to use the Q2M with a Swarovski ATS-80 spotting scope to capture the eclipse. Of course there were plenty of challenges, but that's the fun to it.

Q2M, Swarovski ATS-80 spotting scope, Thousand Oaks Optical solar filter, Leica Q spotting scope adapter, on tripod, 1/250, f/5.6, ISO 200, processed in LR and composited in PS. Totally FUN!!

Also posted in the October Barnack challenge.

She is at the Farmers Market every Saturday, alway playing her violin. This is the first time I've seen her sitting.  :)

I was at lunch with a bunch of friends when Jesse’s phone rang. Being a polite guy he left the table to take the call.  Lucky for me he went to a window.  I jumped up quickly and grabbed this shot…

After I looked a second time I saw it.  The moon!!!  Beautiful job. Great exposure and very sharp!

I am glad I saw it, it really pushes the image over the top!

Thanks Monty, yep it would be best printed large! Was hand held, amazing what the camera can manage without a tripod despite all of those pixels.

"Really, you're taking a picture of me????"

I generally try to be a fly on the wall when taking photographs. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  it sure didn't work on this photo :)
