How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Files” and s

Macro setting.  Considerable cropping.  200 ISO    f16   ~1 sec.    Nautilus shell.

Self timer used, because the tripod wasn't too steady and it moved a bit after I pushed the shutter button.

So today I took delivery of my 1st Leica, a new Q2 monochrom. I'm mainly a B & W shooter and I like the 28mm focal length so I'm hoping this camera will suit me. First impressions are positive, the build quality is impressive, the menu is intuitive and so with the battery charged and a new memory card inserted I stepped outside to try it. I took this image to see how the camera would cope with very bright skies, no problems as I was careful to expose for the highlights and I found it has a good dynamic range to lift the shadow detail.
