Beautiful photos Rick

How does output from your T w/ normal zoom compare to output from your XV? All are wonderful zooms and cameras.

Thanks for the kind words.

That is a tough question.  So far, I have not done side by side tests to answer that question properly.  My guess is that they have a very similar output - particularly since they share the same sensor.  However, my XV with its Vario Elmar often amazes me and I have not used  the T enough to say that ...time will tell.  What I will say is the T is a great camera with outstanding optics available - it certainly has great color and the lenses are all sharp and very capable of meeting my photographic needs.  (The T,  like the XV, was dismissed by the buying public  - too bad they missed another great Leica product.) When I get  chance I will do some fair comparisons and get back to you.

Rick

I usually work with raw files, but this is a jpeg SOOC

Louis,

Outstanding B&W rendition - may I ask: was the B&W done in camera or post.

Rick

Thank you very much, Rick.

The "T" camera B/W is really not bad at all; but I am always shooting in RAW; therefore in color. First, I process the color file in Photoshop to have the tonality I like, then I convert to B/W with Silver Efex Pro.

Regards,

Looks like I will have to get Silver Efex Pro! Thanks.

With Puffy white clouds, blue sky and bright light - I always use a polariser - and I usually set camera at minus 2/3 stop with that filter - the T usually over compensates for the polarizer - this over compensation was common even in the film cameras.

A few from recent trip with converted infrared Leica T.  These were all with Summilux 35mm M Asph.  Seems to be the lens the infrared T likes best so far.  Only minimal post processing.
