Great shot, Robert. I prefer the B/W version; the tonality is beautiful.

Thanks, very much, Louis! I can't make up my mind which I prefer. The tonality of the B/W turned out very nicely but so did the gold of the wheat stubble which the camera reproduced so accurately.

I'd say, by the looks of the macro style shots here that most "could" use the new soon to be release 60 Macro. But I reckon with the results so far, I'd be saving my money, they are all stunning.

Gary

Hi Gary, yes the new T Macro would be nice to have............but. There are so many good third party macros out there. All that's needed is the relevant adaptor. Personally I would rather spend that kind of dosh on the new T2, or a minty M2.

Yeah Tony, a new lens would be nice, but as you say, what we are all seemingly using is "good enough".

For macro of late I have been using an older 35mm Summicron R, this focuses quite close. If I any gripes with it's use it is the fact I want to focus at max aperture, then stop down to secure some depth of field.

I'm finding this with all my M lenses in general use anyway, tending to shoot them a few stops down, after focusing wide open.

Having an "auto" lens would be a god-send.

I tried a S/H T with a demo 35mm 1:1.4 lens. These girls asked for a photo: taken at dusk with lens set at 1.4 and manually focused. I am happy to report they are happy with the photo. Subsequently I bought a S/H T kit and a new 35mm lens.

Took my recently acquired S/H T and new 35mm lens to the Northern Quarter of Manchester UK, an area popular with creative people. Some fine street art at times: here's a new one: T 35mm at 1.4
